Hey friends. I'll be dropping updates here, from now on, as I've given Meta and Bluesky the flick. It has been super liberating to say goodbye to social media, but it definitely makes it harder in terms of keeping in touch. If you subscribe to my monthly newsletter, I promise not to spam your inbox with photos of my dinner (can't guarantee there won't be snaps of my doggos).

In writing news, I've been putting the final touches on my debut novel and hope to have it ready for market soon. Just quietly, it has been a real lesson in tenacity for this impatient lass, but giving the story space to breathe has allowed it to evolve into something truly other...and I love it. Fingers crossed, you do too. Short story-wise, I've made a couple of sales, copped a few rejections and have five subs pending. I recently sold a reprint to my favourite horror podcast (details and link to come), and my flash fiction "The Screaming Garden" was published by Flame Tree Press as part of their February Lover's Feast. The Screaming Garden was a heap of fun to write, and Flame Tree has been on my wish list for yonks, so I'm stoked to get their attention. Love the logline too! Two residents of a rehabilitation centre for the undead find a sinister way to satisfy their forbidden cravings by cultivating a garden unlike any other.

TL;DR: Read my stuff. Subscribe to my newsletter.

That's all for now, legends! Thanks for checking in. Here's to a happy, healthy May for us all.

Best,

Em
